Excellent food. Very clean restaurant. Staff very helpful and couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable. Carvery was delicious and plenty of choice. Will definitely be returning .
4 of us went to try the carvery. It was absolutely gorgous! So much veg/potatoes to choose from. Meat just melted in your mouth. Nice size yorkshire puddings. All nice and hot to eat when you sat down Id highly recommend it!
New year's Day it was quiet initially but that was our good luck as we got there early. We had the carvery which had more than enough meat etc and the food was great as more people arrived there was a nice atmosphere and a good time was had by all
Extremely disappointed and feel robbed! We pre booked Christmas dinner here and place our orders weeks in advance. Everything started fairly well apart from the table not being ready on time. We got our starters which were all really nice but it then took ages for staff to clear out table so that we could go to the carvery for main course. Having eventually got our main course we found that the beef was very under cooked and so rubbery that I couldn't cut mine, the gammon was more fat than meat and the gravy was so salty and strong it spoiled the meal.After wait 45 minutes for the staff to clear the table and asking for our desserts 4 times we decided to find the manager who informed us the the kitchen staff were having a melt down and that we wouldn't be getting our desserts. He then gave us a voucher for 50 to spend in the pub as an apology. This would barley cover the cost of the desserts as there were 7 of us.I then spent a lot of Christmas day night awake with stomach ache and feeling sick.Having paid a premium (over 40per head) for a Christmas dinner the service was terrible the meat from the carvery was terrible, under cooked and uneatable. And we didn't get a dessert. Extremely disappointed and feel robbed.
