We had previously had cakes made by the original owner (also called Tracey) which were amazing...since the shop has been bought out by the current Tracey, the service has drastically gone down hill. We paid a ridiculous amount of money for a rubbish christening cake which wasnt what Id requested (even though Id produced photos and sat down to discuss this). When collecting the cake, I literally burst into tears in the car as the cake was so disappointing. It turned out Tracey had gone on holiday and left a young girl in charge (who told me shed only been doing this for four months). I had to get her to redo some of the icing detail on the cake. I have since been in touch several times with Tracey and received a couple of replies but since just been ignored! I WOULDNT recommend this shop or the bad service! To top it off, the previous cakes which wed ordered from the first owner are still advertised on the Facebook page as having been made by the current owner which definitely isnt the case...DO NOT BUY!!!
Purchased a cake for my boyfriend 30th birthday. I had an idea of what i wanted the cake to look like in my head and It met this idea and more. I requested chocolate cake as this is his favourite cake, It was delicious, everyone at the party commented on how good the cake was. I worry with decorated cakes that you may loose the quality of the cake and all is focused on design, but this is definitely not the case here, everything was perfect. Thank you so much.
The service at the start was wonderful, very helpful and accommodating, unfortunately the cake we ordered (4 tiers) turned into a 3 tier cake. My wife is gluten free and my family are vegetarian, so we were meant to have two tiers of each, in the end we ended up with a cake that was three tiers, not the correct "A&G" sign at the front and not labelled. Our friends/family were unable to taste the cake. I have written to Tracey 3-4 times via e-mail and not had a reply. Whilst her cakes are delicious (as I tried some previously at the tasting session), I would not recommend them if you have an intolerance, my wife could have fallen badly ill if she had the gluten cake by mistake. In the end, we were unable to serve any of the cake. The security staff ended up having it and none of our friends or family. I am happy to discuss further if needs be. We must have been the unlucky couple in all of this, as we thought we were onto a winner.
Great place and very friendly. The cakes are very well designed.
